1. Visit & Interaction of the Honourable Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shri. Ram Nath Thakur Ji at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Sikkim on 18th Nov 2024. On his arrival the Minister was warmly welcomed by Sr. Scientist and Head Shri Bhison Pradhan, KVK Mangan. The minister visited the stalls put by various departments and farmers. He also visited the ATIC centre of KVK where KVK has displayed various technologies and germplasm of indigenous crops like cereals, pulses and oilseeds. Honourable Union Minister on his address stressed about the importance of natural farming and urged the farmers to take up farming on a commercial basis. He also distributed tokens for farm machinery and ducklings to farmers.
2. Honourable Minister of state for Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fisheries and Panchayati Raj Government of India, Shri Satya Pal Singh Bagel visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Sikkim on 22nd Nov as a part of Poorvatar Sampark Setu. On his arrival he was accorded a warm welcome by Shri. Bhison Pradhan, Sr. Scientist and Head KVK Mangan. He visited the stalls put by KVK, Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, Fisheries Department, SHGs and Sikkims Seasoning. Shri.Bagel also visited the ATIC centre and he was briefed about the promising technologies that has been disseminated by KVK. Shri. Bagel advised to continue providing relentless service to the upliftment of farming community.
